Jordan Lodge

We want the best for the people in our care and we place great importance on outcomes and quality of life. We look at what can be achieved for each person, to suit his or her abilities, interests and needs.

We work within a positive environment to encourage confidence, and bring structure, inclusion and opportunity into their lives.

Located near central Croydon, Jordan Lodge can deliver a range of occupational therapy and therapeutic interventions, giving residents continuing control and involvement in their recovery journey.

Our Commitment:

Jordan Lodge is a Mental Health Recovery focused service aiming to promote:

● Independence

● Health and Well-Being

● Employment and/or Education

● Support with addictions (where necessary and with external input)

● Multidisciplinary team support and assistance

Our approach

Our approach is tailored for a relapse prevention and/or recovery model and is focused on the maintenance and stabilisation of an individual’s mental health and well-being.

We aim to provide effective continuing care for people with mental health diagnosis and we recognise that each person we support has different wishes and goals for their own lives and future. By adopting a flexible and person-centred approach we support people to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Providing care in a private, safe, homely environment
  • Increased safety, improved hygiene and nutrition
  • Compliance with healthcare regimes allowing stabilisation of physical/mental health conditions and symptom control
  • Being ‘settled’ – a sense of belonging
  • Increased self-esteem and self-respect
  • Recognition of rights of others; respect for them, their property, and their opinions
  • Small steps to better manage addiction, personal care, medication and money
  • Increased involvement in society to include family and friends

Our Resources and Support services:

Working with each person to identify and define their goals, and ensure a breadth of understanding of their life and aspirations we can plan and agree support activities, enabled by:

  • Social inclusion groups
  • Mental Health Nursing support
  • Allocated Key workers
  • 5 star rating for food hygiene

Therapeutic activities to build skills for independence include:

  • Activities of Daily Living and use of our ADL Accessible Kitchen
  • Communication and discussion groups
  • Engagement with Education and Employment
  • Gardening, Music appreciation and Arts and Crafts

Pathways:

We recognise that people we support may wish to “move on” to a less supported environment or an alternativeway of living.

We have the skills and resources to work with individuals to adopt a focused recovery plan that supports this process.
